one of our works dedicated to Palácio da Pena, Sintra

value and promote cultural heritage

from a National Monument – museum, palace, monastery, among other national heritage collections, an ornament stands out, be it sculpture, painting or architecture. This ornament is the basis of inspiration for the motif to be designed and embroidered by hand, creating unique pieces - whether souvenirs, differentiated gifts, home items and decoration.

through the association of these two elements, embroidery begins to evoke cultural issues. The embroidered piece is accompanied by a descriptive brochure about the monument and the embroidered motifs. Here, we readjusted the work developed by Românico Bordados, on the Rota dos Romântico.

The Pena Palace is the most notable example of romantic architecture in Portugal. Inside, Moorish, Gothic and Manueline “motifs” stand out. The choice was restricted to the ceiling of D. Fernando II's room, which inspired us with several motifs transposed into embroidery, creating unique pieces and products in different designs. A “little bit” of Palácio da Pena that can be present in your everyday life: toilet towel, table-runner, tea towel. hand-embroidered pieces of unique beauty!

similar work can be developed for different National Monuments and Museums - when portuguese embroidery - românico bordados - starts to promote and disseminate cultural heritage - details of the monument, providing a new look at the national collections that fill the daily lives of places with history.

in our portfolio we create unique, hand-embroidered pieces to adorn

your spaces. tailor-made projects and personalized embroidery. For a more welcoming, unique and special environment. A touch of elegance and sophistication!

Romanesque Embroidery

on the bedding sets of

their suites

Design Hotel

We sought to adapt one of the Romanesque Embroidery motifs – Palm Leaves – to the details of the hote´sl logo, maintaining its beauty and symmetry.

In the drawings we try to adapt the best proportion of the new proposed motif in relation to the measurements of the fold of the sheet and the strap to be embroidered.

The bedding sets are in pure cotton, a portuguese textile, hand embroidered, in full stitch.
